Julie Avery - Managing Director

I began my career in the Travel Industry 30 years ago, as a Personal Assistant / Bookkeeper to Peter Korbel the founder of Brighton Travelworld. After 7 years I diversified and progressed to Consulting and Managing the business. In 1999 I purchased the company with business partner Keiran Cromie.

Now as a hands-on Managing Director I have a thorough understanding of business principles and a clear knowledge of my client’s requirements.

I have an enviable track record in the Industry, having led the Agency to many Awards over the past 23 years together with personal awards for expertise in Consulting. I am committed to the team delivering our clients, quality of knowledge and experience, on time, and within their chosen budget. This is achieved by employing only A1 grade qualified and experienced Consultants who are trained to know nothing less than excellence, and will go to extraordinary lengths to achieve the best result for their clients. This is one of the major reasons for Brighton Travelworld’s rise to prominence as a Leader in the Travel Industry.

I keep in close touch with our ever changing Industry, following overseas trends and forecasts to keep us ahead of the competition. I am very proud of the team at Brighton Travelworld and the companies continued growth from a $5 million agency when purchasing the business in 1999 to an $12 million organisation currently, a great result considering the impact the Internet has had on many Agencies.
I love big cities, and have travelled extensively to all parts of the world many times over. I still find time to fundraise and support the local community, being a Past President of Brighton Beach Rotary, and PHF Saphire.

I was also fortunate to win the Baysde Corporate Citizen award in 2007.

Amanda Robinson

It has now been almost 3 years since I joined Brighton Travelworld and there has not been a dull moment yet. In that time I have traveled to a few destinations with my family and have added to my wealth of personal experience to share with my clients. I have had several ship inspections recently which has enhanced my firsthand knowledge of some beautiful vessels.

I continue to enjoy challenging itinerary planning and find there is always something new to discover as a Travel Consultant. I have enjoyed getting to know Brighton Travelworld's many valued clients and assisting them with their travel plans.

I am an accredited Cruise Consultant with the International Cruise Council.

Lisa Wells

I have worked in the Travel Industry since leaving school 24 years ago, following in my fathers footsteps; he owned his own Travel Agency for 15 years in Bayside and my introduction to the Travel Industry was stamping brochures on a Saturday morning, so travel is definitely my passion.

I enjoy helping my clients planning and tailoring their trips whether it is for business or leisure. I have traveled extensively through Europe, Asia, USA, Africa, Carribean, South America, Pacific & Australia. I try to get away at least once a year to somewhere I haven't been before to update my knowledge and experience.

I have 2 children aged 11 & 8 years who are also "keen" travelers. I can't imagine working in any other industry and look forward to continuing the close relationship I have with my existing clients and meeting new clients to help make their "travel dreams" come true.

I am an accredited Cruise Consultant with the International Cruise Council.

Carol Mallett

I commenced in travel in 1985, and have worked in retail leisure, corporate and group travel offices. Leisure Consulting is the area I find most rewarding as my clients are very much guided by my experience and allow me to be creative within the guidelines of their Itinerary.

I have travelled throughout Europe, USA, Asia, Pacific and the Australian East Coast.

When I am not at Brighton Travelworld, my four children keep me busy. We enjoy taking family holidays; I understand the joys of travelling with children, together with those many “child friendly” resorts.

I am an accredited Cruise Consultant with the International Cruise Council.

Liz McHenry

I have been in the travel industry for 21 years, predominantly as a Travel Consultant. I am a specialist in international airfares and can provide expert advice on many destinations, as I have traveled extensively throughout Asia as well as experiencing the pleasures of coach touring in Europe and the USA.

I am a mother of two girls aged 12 and 7 years and have had the fortunate opportunity to travel with them on family holidays both Internationly and within Australia. Very soon I will be holidaying with them at Club Med which will be my fourth Club Med experience. I am regarded as a Club Med Expert Agent.

I am an accredited Cruise Consultant with the International Cruise Council.

Kerrin Trenorden

I have worked in the travel Industry for over 6 years in various roles and am the newest member of the Brighton Travelworld team. Previously I’ve worked in a large agency in the city and also for an Event and Screen production company. I’m looking forward to expanding my experience in the travel industry over the coming years.

Pam Carney

My involvement in travel goes back longer than I care to remember. During that time I have travelled the world extensively and have therefore developed a great understanding of many destinations. I was an owner of Church Street Travel until it was sold to Brighton Travelworld and nowadays I enjoy a more relaxed environment where I can concentrate on looking after my clients, and spending some quality time playing golf!

I've lived most of my life in Brighton and understand the needs of our clientele.

Diane Irons

I am one of the voices on the phone and the one who greets you on arrival.

Having worked in the travel industry for 33 years my background knowledge is of assistance to the agency. I have always enjoyed meeting new faces and welcoming "old" friends so my role as Receptionist and personal assistant is one that I cherish.

Erica Blum

I began in the Travel Industry in 1985, and have worked mainly in the retail leisure area as well as a little in the corporate market. More recently I have moved into a part-time position performing PA duties to Julie.

I have travelled through parts of Australia, Asia, Pacific and Europe. I have two young children and now enjoy our family holidays together.

Liana Kestelman

I commenced working at Brighton Travelworld 6 years ago as the part-time accounts person looking after Brighton Travelworld’s accounts and various aspects of accounting.

I also attend to the accounting requirements of other organisations. I love traveling and spend my spare time planning my upcoming holidays.
Keiran Cromie - Director

My involvement with travel began in 1999 when I purchased Brighton Travelworld with Julie Avery. I have always had a keen interest in travel and love to hear about some of the more exotic holidays which come to life within our office. I concentrate on Business Development, Technology, and Administration, so my role is very much behind the scenes.

As a Past President of Brighton Beach Rotary and a PHF, I maintain an interest in supporting local community organisations.

I have always lived in the area and feel that I have a good understaning of our clients needs.
